We are currently seeking a dedicated Coffee Bar Barista to join our team at the North Park Lexus Cafe located within the dealership. This full-time position operates from 12 PM to 7 PM and is integral to enhancing the overall customer experience by offering an inviting and hospitable cafe environment. As a Barista, you will be the friendly face welcoming guests, expertly crafting high-quality coffee beverages, and ensuring that customers feel comfortable and at home while they wait for services or shop. This role requires a person who is dependable, loves interacting with people, and takes pride in providing excellent service.

The ideal candidate will have proven cafe and barista experience, particularly with espresso and cappuccino machines, allowing them to deliver consistently excellent coffee beverages. In addition to drink preparation, the role demands a customer-centric approach where you educate guests on the various drink and snack options, answer any questions, and engage them in friendly conversation. Maintaining the cafe environment involves not only beverage craftsmanship but also managing inventory, ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the workspace, and performing routine maintenance on coffee equipment. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous barista experience preferred
Ability to operate espresso and cappuccino machines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Dependability and punctuality
Ability to work full-time hours from 12 PM to 7 PM
Knowledge of workplace safety and hygiene practices

Job Duties

Welcome customers in the cafe/waiting area by determining their beverage interests and needs
Use cappuccino/espresso machines to prepare coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques
Engage and maintain conversations with customers as they wait for service
Educate customers by presenting and explaining the drink/snack options and answering questions
Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply and stocking coffee brewing equipment and supplies
Keep coffee equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following sanitation regulations and organizational standards
