The role available is a Part-Time Food and Beverage Server at the Sheraton Honolulu. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of related work experience
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting objects up to 25 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Ability to follow safety and security policies
  • Reliable attendance
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance
  • Willingness to perform physical labor

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
  • Set tables according to type of event and service standards
  • Answer questions on menu selections
  • Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, length of wait, re-cook orders, and product availability
  • Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
  • Record transactions in MICROS system at time of order
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc.
  • Complete closing duties including restocking and turning off lights
  • Present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment
  • Follow all company and safety policies
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
  • Maintain professional appearance
  • Welcome guests according to company standards
  • Anticipate and address guest service needs
  • Assist individuals with disabilities
