We are currently seeking skilled and enthusiastic cocktail servers to join our team. This role involves greeting guests promptly and professionally, taking their beverage and food orders, and ensuring a memorable experience through excellent service. Successful candidates will be energetic, outgoing, and fun individuals who maintain professionalism at all times while engaging positively with guests. They must be knowledgeable about all concept products and menu items to effectively guide guests and promote sales through up-selling. The role requires consistent communication and coordination with bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to provide seamless service. Monitoring guest behavior and ensuring compliance with legal alcohol consumption rules is crucial for maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment.
As a cocktail server, you will be responsible for greeting guests, serving cocktails and menu items efficiently, accurately handling payments, and completing assigned side work to uphold high service standards. Candidates should be able to communicate clearly and courteously with guests and staff alike, provide professional service with a smile, and respond appropriately to any service or safety issues. The position requires the physical ability to handle, carry, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds and to move efficiently around the facility throughout each shift. Candidates should be prepared to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Fluency in English is mandatory, with additional languages considered a plus. Alcohol awareness certification and/or relevant food service permits are necessary to comply with local or state regulations. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience serving in a fast paced food and beverage environment
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Must speak fluent English
- Alcohol awareness certification or food service permit as required
- Ability to handle physical aspects of the job including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and move efficiently for the duration of the shift
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of serving in a fast paced food and beverage venue, preferably nightclub environment
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments preferred
- Meet state legal age requirements
- Speak fluent English, other languages preferred
- Courteous, pleasant, and good natured
- Strong communication skills for interaction with guests, bartenders, wait staff, cooks, and supervisors
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency
- Reading and writing abilities
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Job Duties
- Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
- Serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests
- Up-sell when taking orders
- Show energetic, outgoing, fun personality while maintaining professionalism
- Provide outstanding and professional service with a smile to ensure guest satisfaction
- Communicate effectively and clearly with co-workers and kitchen staff verbally and via point of sales system
- Communicate with guests clearly, patiently and with good humor
- Be well-versed in all concept products and menu items to guide guest experience and sell food and beverages
- Consistently check guests' identification for age verification
- Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption, notify management of incidents
- Complete all assigned side work
- Accurately account for all sales and payments
- Alert management of service or safety issues and make appropriate service recovery gestures
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
- Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages
