As a host server at Live Nation Entertainment, your role is pivotal in delivering outstanding customer service within an upscale dining and nightlife environment. This position requires a blend of expert wine and bottle service skills, impeccable knowledge of fine dining service steps, and the ability to engage with high-profile guests such as Foundation Room Members, Live Nation Corporate Executives, and VIPs. The role emphasizes strong communication skills, including the ability to use an articulate vocabulary suited to the audience and create an inviting atmosphere. You will be responsible for guiding guests through their dining experience, offering food and beverage suggestions, and ensuring that service standards and procedures are met flawlessly. Additionally, this position demands excellent cash handling and Point of Sale system proficiency, a strong understanding of beverage knowledge, and the capacity to manage intoxicated guests safely and courteously.

Job Requirements

TABC Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or equivalent
Minimum 2 years experience serving in upscale dining and nightlife venues
Working knowledge of high-end restaurant operations and safe, responsible alcohol service
Ability to handle multiple tables efficiently with a friendly and upbeat attitude
High School Diploma or equivalent
Flexible schedule
Adherence to dress and appearance guidelines
Ability to work late hours
Knowledge of cocktail tray service, basic food service, responsible alcohol service, drink recipes and garnishes, Point of Sale systems
Ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety-minded manner
Minimum 2 years bottle service experience
Minimum 3 years work experience interacting with people positively
Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms

Job Qualifications

Experience managing intoxicated guests positively and safely
Minimum 2 years bottle service experience
Minimum 3 years of positive interpersonal work experience
Cultural tolerance and appreciation of music and art forms
Preferred knowledge of Point of Sale systems
Interest in wines, spirits, and mixology
Interest in nightlife and live music environments
Experience with cash handling and identifying valid IDs

Job Duties

Give proper recognition to Foundation Room Members, Live Nation Corporate Executives and VIPs to instill appreciation for membership and patronage
Demonstrate impeccable knowledge of upscale dining service steps
Display expert confidence in bottle and wine service skills
Offer food and beverage suggestions and effectively upsell to guests
Guide and direct guests through their dining experience using recommendations and expertise
Understand and execute bottle service standards and procedures flawlessly
Maintain exemplary grooming standards
Handle cash and operate Point of Sale systems efficiently
Provide strong beverage knowledge and responsibly manage intoxicated guests
Anticipate and respond proactively to guest needs
Suggestively sell beverages and menu items
Take and communicate drink orders to the bar
Deliver drinks skillfully navigating through crowds
Maintain line of sight and atmosphere control by circulating the work area
Remove dirty glasses, dishes, and ashtrays
Keep tables clean and wipe surfaces
Clean spills and maintain safety and sanitation standards
Follow housekeeping policies and procedures
Verify identification for guests who appear under 30 years of age
Refuse service responsibly to intoxicated guests and notify management
Process payments and handle comp and void checks according to policy
Assist other staff as needed
Attend pre-shift meetings conducted by management
