The role of Server at House of Blues offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to immerse oneself in an upscale nightclub environment. As a server, this role emphasizes exceptional food and beverage service to guests, while maintaining a cheerful and professional demeanor. It requires a comprehensive knowledge of upscale dining service standards, including the critical skills of bottle and wine service, and the capacity to make insightful food and beverage suggestions that enhance the guest experience. Servers at House of Blues must exhibit impeccable service procedures while confidently managing multiple tables with efficiency and positivity. Expertise in culinary terminology and cuisine methods is essential, along with the ability to guide guests expertly through their dining and entertainment experiences. This role also requires outstanding communication skills to engage an eclectic audience, uphold exemplary grooming standards, and perform cash handling duties proficiently using Point of Sale systems.
A key focus is on safety and responsible alcohol service, involving rigorous adherence to local ordinances, alcohol awareness training, and active management of intoxicated guests to ensure a safe, enjoyable environment. Servers play a pivotal role in sustaining the venue’s high sanitation and housekeeping standards and contributing to a smoothly run pre-shift briefing process led by the Manager on Duty. The server position is physical by nature, requiring extended periods standing, lifting items up to 25 pounds, and maintaining high energy in a lively, frequently loud, and fast-paced workplace.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in upscale dining and nightlife venues
- Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or equivalent
- Ability to manage multiple tables effectively

- Adherence to dress and appearance guidelines
- Experience with cocktail tray service, food service, drink recipes, garnishes, and Point of Sale systems

Job Qualifications
