In the role of Cocktail Server within San Manuel Casino, you will be a critical member of the beverage service team, directly contributing to an outstanding guest experience. Operating under the guidance of the Supervisor of Beverage, the Cocktail Server ensures the prompt, accurate, and responsible delivery of cocktail and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in various casino areas such as slot machines, table games, and special event locations. This role demands a thorough understanding of the Yaamava Brand Standards, which emphasize professional appearance, attentive service, and impeccable guest interaction. Your ability to maintain a clean, organized workstation and execute side tasks efficiently will help the department function seamlessly.

Cocktail Servers are responsible for handling orders, processing payments, and managing ongoing beverage service using a cash and carry alcohol system. Key to success in this position is the expertise in alcohol types, cocktail compositions, and appropriate garnishes, as well as up-to-date knowledge of beverage pricing. You will also be expected to proactively engage with guests, offering drink service and maintaining check-ins throughout your shift. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to operate under pressure in fast-paced environments, and adherence to strict safety and hygiene protocols including the maintenance of a food handler's card and responsible beverage service certification.

This full-time position often involves evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, reflecting the casino’s vibrant operational hours. You will work primarily in a climate-controlled casino and resort setting, with occasional travel to attend meetings, trade shows, or conferences to support professional development and departmental objectives. The job is physically engaged, requiring the capability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks such as stooping and reaching. Job Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age
must obtain and maintain a food handler’s card
must obtain and maintain a responsible beverage service (RBS) certification
may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license at the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission
ability to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Takes orders and forms of payment from guests while adhering to brand standards
orders alcoholic beverages from bartender and returns beverages with proper change
prepares non-alcoholic drinks as per process
addresses guests attentively providing exceptional customer service
completes service check-ins by picking up trash and empty glasses
inquires about guest drink needs and follows up for continued service
adheres to scheduled sections and break times
maintains communication for floor coverage
maintains alcohol expertise including spirits, beer, wine, and cocktails
knows beverage prices accurately
collects payments using cash and carry system
maintains clean and organized workstation
completes daily side-work as assigned
