Currently, Imagine is seeking a dedicated Cocktail Server - Steady Extra to join their dynamic team, working within their themed venues, the Cabinet and the Lock. This role requires an individual who thrives in a unique and immersive environment, contributing to the storytelling and atmosphere that are central to their exhibitions and entertainment products. The Cocktail Server is integral to delivering an authentic and engaging guest experience, providing not only timely beverage service but also enlivening interactions that align with the character and theme of the venues. The Lock offers a speakeasy ambiance with a mysterious vibe where attentiveness and discretion are key, while the Cabinet celebrates worldly exhibitions through diverse props and stories which the server helps to communicate.
The role demands a blend of excellent customer service, cocktail knowledge, and performance skills to enhance the guest experience. Servers are expected to be knowledgeable, personable, and adept at multitasking, ensuring the spaces remain clean and inviting while facilitating seamless beverage service. The position supports both the Mixologist and the wider exhibition team and requires individuals who can maintain professionalism and a positive attitude under pressure. The work involves moving between both venues, delivering service that complements the overall immersive environment and contributes to the storytelling through interaction with guests.
This role offers steady extra scheduling with an hourly wage of $14.00 to $14.64, providing a steady income opportunity for those interested in themed entertainment and beverage service. Job Requirements
- Requires standing and walking continuously with tray up to 20 lbs. through the shift
- Must be able to lift and carry 20lbs
- Must be able to work inside assigned speakeasy or lounge
- Must be able to bend, pull and carry bar stock to refrigerators and cabinets
- Must be able to use hand motion when preparing and pouring all types of drinks for customers and cocktail servers
- Must be able to stoop and reach
- Must be able to use hand motion when collecting/serving glasses from tables
- Must have manual dexterity required to write drink orders prepare drinks and garnishes and beverage orders
- Must be able to listen and respond to aural and visual cues
- Must be able to complete required paperwork for cash transactions
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be able to converse over the telephone in an environment with loud background noise
- Must have appropriate work credentials as require
Job Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- One-year previous cocktail server experience required
- One-year guest service experience required
- Union Pour Card required
- High school degree or equivalent is preferred
- Must have dexterity and ability to learn entertainment/mixology pouring
- Must be able to pass a math test
- Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner
- Must present a professional and pleasant appearance that guests will find appealing and approachable
- Must be able to work any day of the week and scheduled shift
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team
- Must present a well-groomed appearance
- Work requires knowledge of tray service and cocktail ingredients
- Able to handle multiple types of information and/or perform multiple tasks
Job Duties
- Greets and welcomes all guests into venue, service delivery based upon character or venue
- Provides timely cocktail service in a friendly and courteous manner
- Keeps assigned areas clean and empty of glasses and bottles
- Constantly looks for service opportunities
- Responds to and resolves guest complaints
- Answers guest questions and is knowledgeable about property events and attractions
- Performs all side work at assigned station, such as stocking coffee, glasses, sugar, cream and coffee dispenser
- Provides fast (20 minute or less round time), friendly, professional beverage service to the Lock and the Cabinet
- Takes drink orders, communicates with Mixologist, assists in the preparation of drinks and presents drinks to guests
- Maintains clean and stocked workstation
- Handles money according to procedure
- Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
- Serves as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions
- Ensures guests have their two drink menu as required within the Lock, 90 min visit
- Works well with others, especially with beverage servers, Mixologist, and leadership
- Provides personalized service and uses guest name
- Resolves service problems according to guidelines
- Meets attendance guidelines and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies
