The position of Beverage Server at Cocopah Casino plays a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience by serving beverages to patrons seated at tables in various sections such as bar or cocktail lounges, bowling lanes, and party rooms. This role is essential in ensuring that guests receive prompt, courteous, and efficient service, thereby contributing significantly to their overall enjoyment and satisfaction.

The Beverage Server is responsible for taking customer orders accurately and relaying them efficiently to the Bartender and Kitchen staff, ensuring timely preparation and delivery. They collect drinks from the Bartender and serve them directly to patrons while managing payments, providing correct change, and verifying customer identification according to Arizona liquor laws. The position requires strict adherence to company policies, observance of safety and security procedures, and maintenance of cleanliness and order in the service areas.

Because this role demands frequent walking and standing, as well as the ability to handle a work environment that includes loud noise and smoke, candidates must be physically capable and flexible. Successful Beverage Servers demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, accuracy with money handling, and a friendly, outgoing demeanor. They must also exhibit responsibility by following management directions, completing logs accurately, and consistently arriving on time.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a food handler's card or be able to obtain one
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Six months of related work experience
  • Ability to stand and walk extensively
  • Ability to lift at least 10 pounds regularly
  • Ability to work in noisy and smoky environments
  • Must pass pre-employment and ongoing random drug/alcohol tests
  • Must meet suitability standards including clean criminal background check

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a food handler's card or obtain one
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • 6 months of work experience in a related field
  • Ability to accurately total customer bills and make accurate change
  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 10 pounds regularly
  • Ability to work in an environment with loud noise and smoke

Job Duties

  • Take customers' orders and relay them to Bartender and Kitchen
  • Collect drinks from the Bartender and serve them to patrons
  • Accept payment and give appropriate change
  • Request identification from customers per Arizona liquor laws
  • Remove empty or dirty glasses and bottles and return them to bar or kitchen
  • Respond promptly to customer needs
  • Follow policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in orders and money
  • Observe safety and security procedures
  • Use equipment and materials properly
  • Be consistently at work and on time
  • Follow instructions, respond to management direction, take responsibility for own actions
  • Ensure all logs are complete and signed
  • Other duties may be assigned
