The position of Beverage Server at Boyd Gaming Corporation is a critical role within the hospitality team, directly impacting the customer experience within lounges, restaurants, and gaming areas. This role involves greeting guests warmly and serving beverages promptly and courteously, ensuring that all patrons feel welcomed and well cared for throughout their visit. Beverage Servers are responsible for taking and relaying drink orders to bartenders, expertly carrying and balancing trays loaded with drinks, and circulating continuously throughout their designated areas to proactively engage guests. Additionally, Beverage Servers handle monetary transactions with accuracy, maintaining an organized cash bank, and provide complimentary beverages in line with company policies.
This role demands excellent customer service skills, the ability to remain on one’s feet for extended periods, and physical stamina to carry trays weighing up to 10 pounds. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and possess or be willing to obtain any necessary licenses or certifications relevant to their responsibilities. Job Duties
- Greet and serve patrons in lounge, restaurant, or gaming areas in a friendly, courteous manner
- receive and understand beverage orders
- relay drink orders to bartenders
- carry and balance full tray of beverages
- circulate throughout assigned work station on a continuous basis, greeting guests in a friendly manner, taking beverage orders, and delivering beverages
- compute charges for orders and accept payment for same
- maintain an accurate bank at all times
- provide complimentary beverages in accordance with company policy
