Job Description
The establishment offering this position combines the rustic charm of cowboy culture with modern urban elegance to create a unique nightlife venue in Louisville. This club is renowned for transforming the toughness of dirt sports into a sophisticated and vibrant environment, catering to city dwellers who appreciate both the spirit of the Wild West and the comforts of a stylish bar setting. The venue is beautifully decorated, providing an inviting atmosphere where guests can enjoy cold beers, hard drinks, and even the excitement of bull riding. This makes it a perfect oasis for urban cowboys and cowgirls seeking a blend of entertainment, good company, and spirited fun.
The role available is that of a cocktail server, designed for those who are energetic and passionate about delivering top-notch service in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The cocktail server will greet guests warmly, take beverage and food orders swiftly and professionally, and serve cocktails and menu items while skillfully promoting upselling opportunities. A key aspect of this position is maintaining a balance between an outgoing, fun personality and professional demeanor, ensuring all guests feel welcomed and appreciated. Communication is a crucial element, as the cocktail server must coordinate effectively with coworkers and kitchen staff using both verbal interactions and the venue's point of sale system.
This position requires the server to be knowledgeable about all menu items and beverage offerings, enhancing the guest experience by providing recommendations and accurate information. Vigilance is essential when serving alcohol, as the server must consistently verify guest IDs to comply with legal drinking age regulations and monitor consumption to prevent over-serving, alerting management of any concerns. The cocktail server is also responsible for completing all assigned side work and accurately accounting for all sales and payments, demonstrating accountability and attention to detail.
In addition to customer service responsibilities, the role demands a proactive approach to safety and service issues, including making recovery gestures to ensure guest satisfaction whenever necessary. Teamwork plays a significant role, with daily collaboration and communication across departments such as bartending and kitchen staff to facilitate smooth operations. The job environment requires physical stamina, as servers must stand and move about the facility safely and efficiently throughout their shifts, and they should be capable of handling and lifting items up to 50 pounds. Working nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
Overall, this cocktail server position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a lively social setting, possess excellent communication skills, and are committed to delivering a memorable and enjoyable experience for every guest. The venue’s unique fusion of cowboy and urban themes offers an exciting backdrop for personal and professional growth in the hospitality industry.
