Job Requirements

  • Must meet state legal age requirements
  • Must have at least 1 year of serving experience in a fast paced food and beverage venue
  • Must speak fluent English
  • Must be courteous, pleasant, and good natured
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must hold alcohol awareness certification and/or valid food service permit or health/food handler card as required
  • Must have reading, writing, and basic math skills
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to handle, carry, or lift items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and move efficiently throughout the entire facility during each shift
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel as needed

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of serving in a fast paced food and beverage venue, preferably nightclub environment
  • Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments preferred
  • Must meet state legal age requirements
  • Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred
  • Must be courteous, pleasant, and good natured
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with guests, staff, and supervisors
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency
  • Reading and writing abilities for taking orders and completing paperwork
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and credit
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
  • Serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests
  • Up-sell when taking orders
  • Show energy, outgoing personality, and maintain professionalism
  • Provide outstanding and professional service with a smile
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and kitchen staff verbally and using the point of sales system
  • Communicate with guests clearly, patiently, and with good humor
  • Be knowledgeable about all concept products and menu items
  • Consistently check guests' identification to ensure they meet legal drinking age
  • Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption and notify management of incidents
  • Complete all assigned side work
  • Accurately account for all sales and payments
  • Alert management to any service or safety issues
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through communication with other departments
  • Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen staff for orders and delivery of food and beverages
