Job Description
PBR Miami is a lively and iconic country bar located in the heart of Miami, bringing the thrill and energy of the toughest sport on dirt directly to the city. Known for its unique blend of authentic country-western atmosphere and urban Miami energy, PBR Miami offers an unforgettable experience featuring line dancing, cold beers, hard drinks, and the excitement of bull riding. This venue is a favorite destination for both locals and tourists who want to immerse themselves in a fun, welcoming environment where the spirit of the cowboy or cowgirl shines bright. As a prominent entertainment and nightlife hub, PBR Miami is committed to providing exceptional guest services, ensuring every patron leaves with lasting memories and a smile. The establishment prides itself on a high-energy yet professional setting where guests can enjoy a mix of great music, quality beverages, and engaging entertainment.
The Cocktail position at PBR Miami is an essential role that combines customer service expertise with in-depth beverage knowledge to create an enjoyable and seamless guest experience. This role is perfect for those who are energetic, outgoing, and passionate about hospitality and bartending. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, taking beverage and food orders efficiently, serving cocktails, and upselling menu items to maximize satisfaction and sales. Maintaining professionalism, clear communication, and a cheerful attitude at all times are vital traits for this role. Moreover, the Cocktail staff member is expected to understand the entire beverage menu thoroughly to guide guests toward the best drink options while ensuring compliance with legal requirements, such as age verification and monitoring alcohol consumption for safety.
This job involves active teamwork with other departments, including coordination with bartenders and the kitchen, to ensure orders are accurate and timely. Attention to detail is important in handling sales, payments, side work, and service recovery efforts. The Cocktail role requires not only physical stamina—standing and moving around the bar area continuously and handling items up to 50 pounds—but also interpersonal skills, as the position entails ongoing interaction with guests and staff alike.
Candidates should expect to work nights, weekends, and holidays, adapting to a fast-paced environment where communication and multitasking are key to success. The role demands a high level of alcohol awareness certification or food service permits per local regulations, reflecting the bar’s dedication to responsible service. Ideal applicants will bring at least one year of experience in a fast-paced food and beverage venue, preferably within a nightclub setting, and display proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
