The role of Principal Cook at Sodexo, based at Whitworth University, is a full-time opportunity that plays a crucial part in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. As a Principal Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting a variety of hot and cold foods across multiple meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events or catering. The role requires the ability to read and follow recipes and product instructions meticulously. You may also operate a grill station and handle a la carte orders, adding variety and specialty to the menu offerings.

Punctuality and reliability are essential as you will be expected to attend scheduled shifts consistently. Job Duties

  • Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold foods for multiple meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events or catering
  • Read and follow basic recipes and/or product instructions to prepare various foods
  • Prepare food and serve customers ordering a la carte and/or operate a grill station
  • Support management in daily supervision of key functions and employees during normal business hours
  • Attend work and report to scheduled shifts on time and with sufficient regularity
  • Perform other assigned tasks which may vary between accounts depending on business needs and client requirements
