The Principal Cook position at Sodexo’s Keiser University Flagship Campus offers a full-time opportunity with a competitive hourly wage range of $18 to $20. This role primarily involves afternoon and evening shifts on varying days, which will be detailed during the interview process. The role is perfect for individuals passionate about food preparation and customer service, with an emphasis on teamwork and minimizing food waste.
As a Principal Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting a variety of hot and cold foods with accuracy and efficiency across different meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events or catering. You will follow basic recipes and product instructions, prepare a la carte dishes, and may operate a grill station. This role also includes supporting management in the daily supervision of key functions and staff when necessary. Punctuality and reliability in attending scheduled shifts are essential attributes for success in this position. Furthermore, duties may vary based on the needs of the business and client requirements.

Preference is given to those with three to four years of relevant work experience. Job Requirements
- Full-time employment
- Availability to work afternoon/evening shifts on varying days
- Ability to adhere to scheduled work hours punctually and consistently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
- Food handler certification or equivalent knowledge preferred
- Eligible to work in the United States

- 3 to 4 years of relevant work experience preferred

Job Duties
- Prepare, portion, cook and present a variety of hot and/or cold foods accurately and efficiently for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner and special events/catering
- Read and follow basic recipes and/or product instructions to prepare various foods
- Prepare foods and serve customers who order a la carte and/or operate a grill station
- Support management in the daily supervision of key functions and employees during normal business operations
- Attend work and arrive for scheduled shifts on time and with sufficient regularity
- Perform other assigned tasks that may vary between accounts depending on business needs and client requirements
