Job Requirements

  • No formal education required
  • Between 1 and more than 3 years of culinary experience
  • Ability to obtain or hold valid local and/or state food handling permits
  • Physically able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude
  • Availability to work full-time or part-time as needed
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare all ingredients and food products to complete prep lists
  • Meet minimum and optimal inventory levels or PAR
  • Follow rotation and recipe standards
  • Use various preparation and cooking methods to ensure fast, accurate creation of menu items
  • Coordinate with other stations as needed
  • Maintain clean, hygienic, and safe prep and cooking areas
  • Clean, organize, and maintain refrigerators, prep areas and storage
  • Perform opening, closing and additional tasks to support team success
  • Follow safety instructions and guidelines for kitchen equipment and cleaning products
  • Report equipment or maintenance issues immediately to management
  • Adhere to safety precautions and procedures for food service and handling
