The position offered is for a full-time Cook based at Evangel University under Sodexo's food services. The hourly pay range is $17.00 to $20.00. This role requires someone with a passion for culinary arts who is committed to helping reduce food waste and enhancing customer satisfaction through delicious meal preparation. The Cook will be responsible for preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting a variety of hot and cold foods during breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events or catering functions. They must be capable of reading and following recipe instructions accurately and efficiently, preparing meals a la carte as needed, and possibly managing a grill station. This position demands flexibility in scheduling with varying shifts; open availability is preferred to meet the dynamic needs of the university dining services.

Job Duties

  • Prepare, portion, cook and present a variety of hot and/or cold foods efficiently for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events/catering

  • Attend work and report for scheduled shifts on time and with sufficient regularity
