Job Description

The Green House Project revolutionizes elder care by emphasizing dignity, community, and personalized attention. Central to this innovative model is the Shahbaz (plural: Shahbazim), a unique role that combines housekeeping, laundry, cooking, and elder care responsibilities to create a cohesive, supportive environment for seniors. This multi-functional approach challenges traditional elder care structures by integrating various tasks into a single universal worker's role, ensuring that each resident receives consistent and compassionate care from familiar caregivers.

Green House facilities typically operate as small, homelike cottages rather than large institutional settings, cultivating close connections between residents and staff. This environment encourages greater independence among elders and fosters a warm, family-like atmosphere. The Shahbazim serve as the heart of this model, bridging the gap between caregiving and daily life activities, which positively influences the overall well-being of each elder.

Currently, Green House is seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who will also take on the responsibilities of Shahbazim, specifically for their cottage-style living settings. The position is full-time and based in a long-term care and nursing home physical setting, where the successful candidate will work closely with residents to meet their personal care and household needs. This integrated role requires a person who values both caregiving and practical support duties such as cooking and maintaining cleanliness, thereby enhancing the elders' quality of life.

In this full-time role, Shahbazim CNAs are expected to work the day shift with a schedule that includes rotating weekends, allowing for a balance between work and personal life. The position demands a hands-on approach and dedication to fostering an inviting home atmosphere for residents. The nature of the work location is in-person, emphasizing direct, personal interaction with elders and other staff members.

The Green House Project offers competitive benefits, including 401(k), dental insurance, flexible scheduling, health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance. These benefits aim to support the health and financial security of their staff, recognizing the vital role they play in elder care. Green House's commitment to work-life balance through flexible schedules and comprehensive benefits highlights its dedication not only to residents but also to its employees.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking meaningful work in the elder care industry who are interested in a role that blends caregiving with household responsibilities in an innovative, person-centered care model. The Shahbazim for Cottages position offers the chance to be part of a transformative approach to senior living that values respect, dignity, and community engagement.
