The opportunity at Atlas is to join a seasoned and highly-qualified team specializing in Geotechnical and Materials Engineering, Construction Materials Testing (CMT), ICC Special Inspections, and Construction Inspections. This role primarily involves working on some of the most complex and transformational infrastructure and industrial projects throughout West Texas and beyond, including advanced manufacturing sites, mission-critical facilities, Department of Transportation projects, and significant federal infrastructure initiatives. Employees in this position will be involved in a critical role that supports nearly every stage of a project from proposal to completion, ensuring that technical specifications, quality standards, timelines, and budgets are rigorously met.

The role includes performing a wide range of field and laboratory tests, inspections, and quality control activities directly related to construction materials such as soil, concrete, and hot-mix asphalt. This includes, but is not limited to, operating nuclear density gauges, maintaining compliance with radiation safety and HAZMAT regulations, conducting reinforced concrete and soils inspections in adherence to IBC Chapter 17 standards, and documenting field observations and testing results electronically.

Employees will be expected to travel frequently to various construction sites, sometimes requiring overnight stays and flexible working hours that can extend beyond 50 hours per week. This demanding schedule reflects the complexity and critical importance of the projects undertaken by Atlas.
