Preferred certifications include multiple ICC categories, ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I, Radiation Safety/Nuclear Density Gauge, ODOT/WAQTC, CWI, NACE, and other relevant materials testing credentials.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 10 years experience in materials testing
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to accomplish work within short, long and emergency timelines
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds regularly
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license upon hire
- Familiarity with construction practices and materials testing
- Basic awareness of problem solving and decision-making skills

Job Duties
- Perform field materials testing on soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete and other construction materials in accordance with training and the specified procedures
- Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects
- Perform occasional laboratory tests on soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete when required to support project objectives
- Read and interpret construction specifications and drawings, and follow operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Prepare timely and accurate reports and documentation of field activities and testing results
- Perform analysis or calculations to check accuracy, applicability and reasonableness of test data
- Clean, calibrate, maintain, and store testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results
- Complete other tasks as assigned
