The role of CMT Field Technician at Atlas is a dynamic opportunity for experienced professionals passionate about construction materials testing and quality assurance. This full-time entry-level position is designed for individuals with over two years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in handling Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA), concrete, soils, and aggregates. The CMT Field Technician will be responsible for conducting advanced field and laboratory testing to ensure materials meet established project specifications and quality standards. This role supports local and statewide offices and involves a variety of testing settings, including field, lab, and plant environments.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while contributing collaboratively to the broader team. Key responsibilities include performing quality control and assurance sampling and testing, technical support for roadway personnel, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, and ensuring proper documentation of test results. The CMT Field Technician is expected to be knowledgeable in TxDOT and City of Austin specifications, with the ability to travel up to 50 percent of the time and flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and off-hours.
