The role of the Concierge is integral to this organization as it serves as the first point of contact for both homeowners and the Community Manager. This position demands a highly professional and customer-focused individual who can effectively manage multiple responsibilities that range from administrative duties to property inspections. The Concierge is responsible for assisting homeowners with inquiries, receiving and logging packages, and promptly notifying recipients upon delivery. In addition to package handling, this role includes conducting daily walking inspections to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the building. The daily inspections focus on monitoring hallways, ensuring fitness center equipment is in place, checking lighting and trash conditions, and spotting any damage to walls or carpets.
The Concierge must maintain comprehensive daily activity logs, notifying the Community Manager of any issues or concerns that need attention. This requires a person who is detail-oriented and capable of clear and effective communication. The position also involves distributing notices to homeowners and maintaining an organized record of all correspondence and activities. Physical demands include tasks such as sitting, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and climbing stairs, necessitating good physical stamina and dexterity, particularly for keyboard use and typing. The work environment periodically shifts between indoor and outdoor settings with varying conditions.
Candidates must be at least eighteen years of age, able to pass a background check, and ideally have three years of related experience. A high school diploma or GED and strong communication skills are essential. Job Requirements
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- must pass a background check
- good oral and written communication abilities
- knowledge and skills typically gained through the acquisition of a high school diploma and/or GED
- three years of related experience preferred
- capable of working extended hours, to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
- able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed
- must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities, to include the exchange and receipt of information over the telephone
- position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying, and moving objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs
- must also be able to climb several flights of stairs if necessary
- this position will alternate between working indoors in a controlled climate and with proper lighting, to an outdoors setting with variable climate and lighting
- must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills
- must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard
- must pass background check and drug test

Job Duties
- Accept packages for residents
- log receipt and delivery of all packages
- contact homeowners immediately when packages are delivered
- respond to or forward as appropriate and track all homeowner inquiries
- complete building walking inspections daily and monitor building for cleanliness
- notify community manager of issues needing their attention
- distribute homeowner notices as needed
- provide a daily summary of activities and issues, including daily logs and checklist notes
