Job Description
HHM Hotels is a distinguished hospitality company managing a dynamic portfolio of Marriott properties in Silicon Valley, renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences and innovative service. Our dedication to excellence is reflected in our commitment to community engagement, sustainable practices, and empowering our team members to reach their highest potential. Among our esteemed properties are the Courtyard and TownePlace Suites Sunnyvale, as well as Courtyard San Jose Airport, each reflecting Marriott's brand standards and HHM's core values that prioritize personalized service and operational excellence.
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Area Director of Sales to lead sales efforts across this high-performing trio of Marriott hotels. This leadership position requires a seasoned sales professional with expertise in creating and implementing comprehensive sales strategies, managing key client relationships, and driving revenue growth in a competitive market. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of sales processes, business development, and community relations. This role plays a vital part in not only achieving but exceeding the financial targets detailed in the annual marketing plan, ensuring success across multiple business segments. With a salary range of $130,000 to $140,000 per year, this position offers an attractive compensation package complemented by a robust suite of benefits.
In this role, you will oversee the sales team by selecting, training, scheduling, and supporting associates to maintain high performance aligned with brand and company standards. You will leverage internal and external market data to develop strategic business plans, focusing on increasing market share and customer satisfaction. This includes conducting negotiations, preparing compelling presentations, and actively promoting the properties within the local market. An essential component of this leadership role is fostering a culture of sustainability through adherence to HHM's EarthView program, underscoring our commitment to environmental stewardship.
Your career path within HHM Hotels is designed for upward mobility, starting as Area Director of Sales and progressing through roles such as Regional Director of Sales, Corporate Director of Sales, and ultimately Vice President of Sales. We provide opportunities for professional development and continuous learning to support your growth. Additionally, you will benefit from a collaborative work environment that values agility, ownership, and a passion for excellence.
The Area Director of Sales is not just a managerial position but a strategic partner in the success of the portfolio. The role involves regular local travel to maintain strong client relationships and monitor competitive activity. With a balanced emphasis on operational insight and public relations, you will act as both a sales leader and community ambassador, cementing the hotels' reputation within the Silicon Valley hospitality industry. With your leadership, HHM Hotels will continue to set the standard for exceptional service and business performance in this fast-paced and evolving market.
