Renowned for delivering rare and special experiences, The Ritz-Carlton sets the global standard for exceptional guest care and comfort. Their commitment to excellence is deeply rooted in their Gold Standards, which guide every team member to provide gracious and thoughtful service daily. The company prides itself on fostering a rich and diverse culture where associates' unique backgrounds, talents, and experiences are celebrated and valued. They offer an inclusive environment that champions creativity, compassion, and hospitality expertise. Employees are empowered to grow both professionally and personally, supported by a strong foundation of company values such as the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values. Working at The Ritz-Carlton means joining a global team dedicated to creating lifelong memories for guests while continuously striving to be better than the day before. The company offers full-time, non-management positions with a preference for open availability, located at the Portland, Oregon property. The ethos is to be a place where you can do your best work, begin your purpose, belong to an amazing global team, and become the best version of yourself.
The role available is a Club Lounge Attendant position located at The Ritz-Carlton in Portland. This position is essential in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of guests within the club lounge by monitoring seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well-being. The attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and the condition of the bar and lounge areas, preparing and serving a variety of beverages including hot, cold, and alcoholic drinks, and ensuring all supplies are well-stocked. Duties also include dishwashing, completing opening and closing tasks, securing liquor and supplies, and maintaining accurate documentation in the department logbook. The role requires close communication with other departments, such as the kitchen, to anticipate meal requirements and special requests. Safety is paramount; attendants must report accidents or unsafe conditions promptly to management. The role also demands adherence to company appearance standards, confidentiality of proprietary information, and upholding company policies and procedures. Excellent communication skills are necessary for engaging guests and team members professionally and clearly. The attendant supports team goals and is expected to remain physically active by standing, sitting, or walking for long periods and handling objects weighing up to 25 pounds. No prior supervisory experience or specific licenses are required, making it an excellent opportunity for those seeking to enter or grow within luxury hospitality services. This role plays a key part in delivering the hallmark Ritz-Carlton guest experience and is ideal for individuals passionate about exceptional service, attention to detail, and working in a dynamic, prestige environment.
