This role is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime, with a fixed hourly wage of $17.00. The position requires availability for evening shifts Wednesday through Sunday, including weekend and holiday coverage as needed. The host position at Louie's is essential to maintaining the smooth operation of the dining and lounge experience. Responsibilities include answering the telephone promptly and professionally, managing reservation requests through the POS system, handling food-to-go orders, greeting patrons warmly upon arrival, escorting guests to their tables, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the reception and host desk areas. Additionally, the host assists management and service staff where needed and helps expedite food and drink orders to ensure timely delivery to guests.
The role demands a polished, professional appearance consistent with an upscale nightclub environment, adherence to dress code and grooming standards, and the ability to meet physical demands such as prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and the ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds. Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of experience in a customer service role
- minimum one year of experience as a host
- excellent English communication skills
- must be 18 years of age or older
- availability to work evening shifts Wednesday through Sunday including weekends and holidays
- ability to meet physical demands of the job including prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds
- adherence to professional dress code and grooming standards
