The role of the Club Lounge Attendant at The Ritz-Carlton involves overseeing the club lounge area to ensure it meets the highest standards of service, safety, and guest well-being. This position plays a crucial part in maintaining a clean and inviting environment by regularly monitoring seating availability, the condition of the bar and surrounding area, and the readiness of supplies. The attendant is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including hot, cold, and alcoholic drinks, while ensuring that the bar is stocked with the necessary items such as ice, glassware, and other supplies. Anticipating replenishment needs and communicating them promptly is an essential duty to maintain seamless service.

In addition to beverage service, the Club Lounge Attendant carries out opening and closing duties, including requisitioning and transporting supplies, securing liquor and other stored items, and documenting relevant information in the department logbook. The role demands vigilance in reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to the management team, while strictly adhering to company policies, maintaining a professional appearance, and protecting proprietary information and company assets.

This position requires excellent interpersonal skills to welcome and acknowledge guests warmly, anticipate their service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation. Effective communication, both verbal and written, is necessary to maintain clarity and professionalism. The attendant must also collaborate with team members to achieve common goals, comply with quality assurance guidelines, and be physically capable of performing tasks such as standing for extended periods and lifting items up to 25 pounds.

Preferred qualifications for this role include a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, with no prior related work experience or supervisory responsibilities required.
