Worldwide Golf operates more than 95 stores across 25+ states, making it one of the largest and most trusted names in the golf industry. The company prides itself on a culture rooted in the "Sure No Problem" philosophy, which emphasizes putting the customer first and ensuring a positive and memorable shopping experience. Worldwide Golf's family of brands includes popular and highly regarded names such as Roger Dunn Golf Shops, Edwin Watts Golf, The Golf Mart, Golfers' Warehouse, Van's Golf Shops, Uinta Golf, Las Vegas Golf Superstore, Mike's Golf Outlet, Golf and Ski Warehouse, Cool Clubs, and several prominent online platforms like Worldwidegolf.com, Budgetgolf.com, Globalgolf.com, and Getclubs.com.
As part of this dynamic and expanding company, the Cool Clubs Fitter at Golfdom plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service and expertise to golfers of all skill levels. This full-time position involves utilizing state-of-the-art, patented club fitting technology to help customers find the perfect golf clubs tailored to their unique game. The fitter is responsible for performing comprehensive club fittings using the good/better/best fitting process, accurately documenting all fitting data with specialized software, and making knowledgeable recommendations that enhance each customer's performance on the course.
The role demands a high level of customer service excellence, as the fitter not only interacts directly with customers but also ensures smooth transactions through the computerized POS system. There is also a responsibility to maintain the store's appearance by assisting with floor moves, merchandise replenishment, and housekeeping tasks as needed. Beyond the fitting process, the fitter stays in contact with customers throughout the club building process, collaborates with builders to address fitting or building challenges, and promptly resolves any customer concerns.
Additional duties include handling loft and lie adjustments, re-gripping clubs, supporting light club repairs, greeting customers, answering phones, scheduling fittings, and helping manage the fitting calendar. The fitter also maintains familiarity with emerging golf technologies and products to provide customers with informed advice and support. Other responsibilities encompass order tracking using internal systems to update customers and ensure timely pick-up and delivery services, demonstrating a comprehensive role that combines technical skill, sales acumen, and customer service.
Working at Worldwide Golf offers significant opportunities for professional growth and mobility within the company’s extensive network. Employees benefit from paid vacation, 401(k) matching, and health benefits including company contributions to Health Savings Accounts for full-time staff. There is a strong emphasis on ongoing training and development, particularly golf-specific education, enabling employees to continuously enhance their expertise. Furthermore, staff enjoy a robust employee discount and supportive work environment that values teamwork and a customer-first approach.
In summary, this role is ideal for individuals passionate about golf, equipped with technical knowledge of golf equipment, and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences. The Cool Clubs Fitter position at Golfdom offers a rewarding career path within a leading golf retail organization, combining hands-on fitting expertise with customer interaction and operational responsibilities in a vibrant retail setting.
