Established as a vibrant community hub since 1937, Sheraton Boston continues to uphold the brand’s legacy of being 'The World’s Gathering Place,' where people connect, relax, and celebrate special moments together.
This non-management full-time position within the Rooms and Guest Services Operations category provides an hourly wage ranging from $31.27 to $33.05. The role is based onsite at the Sheraton Boston Hotel and is dedicated to ensuring the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of guests in the club lounge area. The position involves monitoring the lounge for seating availability, guest wellbeing, and service quality while maintaining a clean and organized environment. The role is dynamic, requiring the preparation and serving of a variety of beverages, including hot, cold, and alcoholic drinks. Employees will be responsible for stocking supplies like ice, glassware, and other essentials, ensuring timely replenishment and readiness throughout shifts.
Key responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the bar and related tools, performing opening and closing duties, and securing all alcoholic beverages and storage areas. This position demands close attention to detail, including documenting relevant information in the department logbook and forecasting meal requirements in coordination with the kitchen. Safety is also a priority, with the incumbent required to report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediately to management. Adherence to company policies and standards is essential, including maintaining professional attire and appearance, ensuring confidentiality, and protecting hotel assets.
A crucial aspect of the role involves delivering excellent guest service by welcoming, acknowledging, and assisting guests, including those with disabilities, while maintaining professional communication with both guests and team members. The position requires physical stamina, such as the ability to move or lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds and being on one's feet or moving for extended periods during the work shift. This role supports the team in achieving common goals and ensures compliance with quality assurance standards. Additionally, it embraces Marriott International’s inclusive culture that values diversity, promotes equal opportunity, and fosters a supportive workplace where every associate can thrive.
Joining the Sheraton Boston Hotel means becoming part of a global team where personal and professional growth is prioritized. The hotel's mission encourages employees to do their best work, find their purpose, belong to a community, and evolve into the best versions of themselves. The environment nurtures talent and celebrates diverse experiences, providing a foundation for a fulfilling career in the hospitality industry. Team members can expect to be part of meaningful guest experiences in one of Boston's prime hotel locations, contributing to a legacy of excellence and welcoming millions of visitors each year.
