Job Description

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented and communicative professional to facilitate communication between patients, staff, and physicians. The role involves scheduling hospital outpatient procedures and admissions efficiently in an office environment that may be stressful at times with constant and interruptive interaction with others.

Job Requirements

HS/GED required
Prefer one year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting
Knowledge of medical terminology desirable
Knowledge of medical business office procedures and practices
Skill in operating a computer and photocopy machine
Skill in answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner
Ability to speak clearly and concisely
Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, supervisors, physicians, and the public
