Job Description
SSTAR is a dedicated Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to addressing substance use disorders while fostering a healthier community through a holistic approach to care. Founded on principles of healing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—SSTAR goes beyond conventional clinical care by integrating behavioral health, trauma support, and social determinants of health into their comprehensive treatment plans. This mission-driven organization not only serves individuals struggling with substance use but also collaborates as part of an integrated care model that emphasizes empowerment and recovery. SSTAR’s dynamic clinical team plays a pivotal role in transforming lives, providing compassionate, evidence-based interventions, and promoting long-term wellness. Furthermore, as an FQHC, SSTAR offers access to HRSA Loan Repayment Programs, an invaluable resource supporting clinicians' educational debt repayment while working in underserved communities.
The Trauma-Informed Clinician position at SSTAR is a unique and compelling opportunity for professionals deeply invested in mental health, trauma, and substance use treatments. This role requires an empathetic and skilled clinician to work directly with individuals affected by intimate partner violence and domestic abuse, delivering trauma-informed, empowerment-based care tailored to this vulnerable population. The clinician will engage clients through both individual and group therapy sessions designed to aid survivors in reclaiming safety, autonomy, and healing. This role is central to fostering resilience and recovery within a compassionate, mission-oriented multidisciplinary team dedicated to holistic patient care. This full-time first-shift position carries an annual salary range of $68,000 to $80,000, reflecting the critical impact and professional commitment required. Joining SSTAR means contributing to a supportive environment that values cultural competency, promotes diversity, and encourages continuous professional development, making it an ideal workplace for clinicians passionate about creating meaningful change in the community.
