As a comprehensive healthcare system, UCLA Health is dedicated to advancing medical knowledge, offering world-class patient services, and continuously evolving through cutting-edge research and transformative clinical care. The institution delivers a broad spectrum of services across multiple specialties, making it one of the most trusted healthcare brands nationwide. At UCLA Health, the collaboration of top-tier professionals fosters an environment where patient well-being is paramount and innovative strategies are embraced to elevate care standards continuously.

The Clinical Surveillance Team (CST) Nurse Supervisor plays an indispensable role within UCLA Health’s commitment to enhancing patient outcomes. This position is specifically designed to proactively identify and manage adult non-ICU patients who are at risk of clinical deterioration. The role requires a strong clinical background coupled with expertise in utilizing advanced predictive analytics and clinical surveillance technologies. The CST Nurse Supervisor independently monitors patient data, assesses clinical conditions, and collaborates closely with bedside teams to ensure timely interventions are enacted. This vigilance is crucial for clinical scenarios that include sepsis, stroke, respiratory compromise, cardiac decompensation, and other emergent health crises.

Working in a dynamic healthcare setting, the Nurse Supervisor provides leadership in operational coordination for both the Clinical Surveillance Program and the Medical Emergency Team (MET). The role demands thorough evaluation of clinical surveillance data and patient care plans in partnership with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee high-quality, safe care delivery. The CST Nurse Supervisor’s ability to communicate critical recommendations and coordinate interventions effectively supports the facility’s goal of reducing patient risk and preventing further clinical decline. This leadership position requires not only clinical expertise but also strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage the complex demands of urgent patient care.

The salary for this role ranges from $61.54 to $142.77 hourly, reflecting the high level of responsibility and specialized skills required. This full-time role offers a remarkable opportunity to work at UCLA Health, contributing directly to one of the nation’s most notable health systems while advancing personal professional growth within an innovative and supportive environment. The Nurse Supervisor position is ideal for nursing professionals with a critical care background seeking to apply their skills in surveillance, prevention, and acute patient care within a prestigious institution dedicated to clinical excellence and patient safety.
