This position plays a crucial role in the delivery and management of specialized behavior intervention services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other related disabilities. Reporting to a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), this role involves both direct intervention and program supervision. The individual in this role works closely with the BCBA and Behavior Interventionists to assess participants, design and implement tailored programs, and monitor progress. The behavioral interventions provided adhere to evidence-based methods such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Pivotal Response Training (PRT), and Natural Environment Teaching (NET), ensuring that interventions meet the highest standards of effectiveness.
The Program Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the accuracy and reliability of data collected by staff, managing program documentation, and ensuring that treatment plans align with each participant's needs. This role demands strong clinical, administrative, and leadership expertise, as the supervisor also coordinates ongoing staff training, conducts regular progress reviews with families, and maintains open communication with all stakeholders. Furthermore, the position requires staying informed about new research and developments in autism and behavioral therapies to continuously enhance service delivery.
Candidates for this role should possess a master's degree in early childhood education, special education, psychology, or related fields, with a solid foundation of experience working with children on the autism spectrum. Being certified in CPR and maintaining clearances required by health and safety regulations are mandatory. The job entails local travel up to 30 percent of the time, necessitating a valid driving record and compliance with transportation safety standards. The environment involves occasional physical activities such as bending, reaching, and standing, and requires handling occasional exposure to challenging conditions.
Overall, this role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing high-quality, compassionate, and individualized behavioral support. It is suited for a dedicated professional eager to work within a collaborative team under the guidance of a BCBA and make a positive impact through scientifically validated interventions.
