Currently, Sodexo is seeking a highly experienced Registered Dietitian to join its team as a Clinical Nutrition Manager at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. McLaren Greater Lansing is a 240-bed tertiary teaching hospital well-regarded for providing exemplary patient care and innovative medical education. In this leadership position, the Clinical Nutrition Manager will oversee the clinical nutrition programs not only at this primary facility but also at three additional McLaren regional sites, ensuring consistency and excellence across a network of locations. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a system-wide team of Clinical Nutrition Managers, advancing Sodexo’s global brand, Clinicia, which specializes in clinical and patient nutrition.

The Clinical Nutrition Manager will take charge of managing a comprehensive clinical nutrition program within an acute care setting, demonstrating strong leadership and operational skills. They will supervise a team of inpatient dietitians across four accounts, totaling 5.5 full-time equivalent staff, focusing on delivering superior nutrition care tailored to patients’ clinical needs. The role involves close cooperation with interdisciplinary teams, enhancing Sodexo’s meal service programs, and menu management systems to optimize patient nutrition and satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian credentials and acute care experience
  • supervisory or management experience
  • excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills
  • experience with regulatory accreditation, regulatory readiness and review, and establishing and maintaining standards of care
  • meets eligibility requirements for RD/RDN and will become registered within 120 days of hire
  • certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
  • at least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources
  • 3 years of functional experience as a practitioner

Job Qualifications

  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by ACEND for those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24
  • meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire
  • certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
  • at least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources
  • 3 years as experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners
  • excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills
  • experience with regulatory accreditation, regulatory readiness and review, and establishing and maintaining standards of care

Job Duties
