The Registered Dietitian Clinical Nutrition Manager position at Covenant Living of Turlock, a premier 51-bed skilled nursing facility in Turlock, California, offers an exciting opportunity for a health care professional who is passionate about patient-centered care and clinical nutrition management. Situated in California's scenic Central Valley near Yosemite National Park, Covenant Living of Turlock provides an upscale living environment dedicated to delivering outstanding rehabilitation and skilled nursing services. This full-time role balances direct patient care with clinical and food service management, with a workload consisting of approximately 40% hands-on patient care and 60% administrative and supervisory duties. This hybrid focus allows the Clinical Nutrition Manager to impact both individual resident outcomes and broader organizational nutrition quality initiatives.
The position includes the chance to lead a team of 12 full-time employees, overseeing nutrition services and ensuring compliance with Department of Health, state, federal, and company regulations. The role involves active participation on interdisciplinary teams, collaborating with nursing and medical staff and engaging in care conferences to advocate for residents' nutritional well-being. Additionally, there are opportunities to perform quality improvement projects such as food service audits, test trays, and meal rounds that directly influence the dining experience and overall resident satisfaction.

Job Requirements
- Registered Dietitian credentials
- One year of experience in senior living preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Master’s degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by ACEND
- Meets eligibility requirements for RD/RDN by CDR and will become registered within 120 days of hire
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
- Minimum management experience of 2 years
- Minimum functional experience of 3 years in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics plus registered dietitian

Job Duties
- Provide compassionate care to skilled nursing and/or rehab residents
- Consistently meet DOH/state/federal and company standards
- Serve as an active member of the interdisciplinary team, working closely with nursing and medical staff and attending care conferences as assigned
- Perform quality improvement initiatives such as test trays, food service audits, and meal rounds
- Oversee 12 FTEs
- Provide support to assisted living as needed
