Job Description
Loma Linda University Medical Center - Murrieta is a leading healthcare institution committed to providing exceptional medical services to the community it serves. As a renowned hospital, it specializes in advanced patient care, incorporating the latest medical innovations and best practices to ensure superior outcomes. The center prides itself on its vibrant, culturally diverse workforce and patient population, fostering an environment characterized by cooperation, respect, and compassionate care. The institution is recognized for its dedication to continuous improvement, professional development, and evidence-based clinical practice, making it a preferred employer for healthcare professionals seeking to advance their careers in a supportive and dynamic setting.
The role of Clinical Nurse B-Inpatient on the Medical Telemetry/Oncology Unit is a vital component of Loma Linda University Medical Center - Murrieta's commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This is a full-time, night shift nursing position that offers eligible candidates a sign-on bonus of up to $9,000, reflecting the center's appreciation for skilled and dedicated professionals. The Clinical Nurse B is responsible for utilizing discretion and independent judgment to provide, coordinate, and document direct and indirect care that is age-specific and developmentally appropriate for patients. Working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, the nurse performs the entire nursing process, including assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation, aligned with the hospital's established Professional Practice Model based on Duffy's Quality Caring Theory.
This position requires a nurse who embraces continuous learning and improvement, applying theoretical concepts into clinical practice while expanding clinical skills and knowledge within their specialty and patient population. Interpersonal skills are essential, as the nurse must consistently demonstrate professionalism and deliver exceptional customer service to patients and families. The nurse also functions within a skills mix environment, supervising and delegating tasks to both licensed and unlicensed staff members, thereby ensuring safe and effective patient care. Additionally, the nurse may participate in an on-call rotation and has the opportunity to serve as Shift Coordinator upon completion of the relevant orientation program. Overall, this role offers significant professional growth opportunities within a supportive, innovation-driven medical center dedicated to excellence in patient care and professional nursing practice.
