The role of Clinical Nurse B in the Emergency Department is vital to the operation of Loma Linda University Medical Center-Murrieta, a designated ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) receiving center. This position requires the clinical nurse to perform comprehensive nursing processes including assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation with minimal supervision within a high-paced environment. Candidates must be capable of delivering care to a culturally diverse patient population with varying degrees of illnesses and injuries. The nurse will be responsible for rapidly assessing and stabilizing patients in life-threatening situations, exercising sound decision-making, and prioritizing patient needs effectively. Collaboration with multiple physicians and healthcare teams is a regular part of the role to ensure optimal outcomes for emergency patients. This role also entails functioning in emergency scenarios such as community emergencies, mass casualties, and critical incidents.
