Job Description

USPI South Plains Endoscopy Center is a specialized ambulatory surgical center focusing on outpatient surgical procedures in the field of Gastroenterology. This center is equipped with one operating room and three treatment rooms designed to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. Known for its commitment to clinical excellence and patient safety, USPI South Plains Endoscopy Center operates with a team-oriented approach to deliver efficient and effective surgical services. The facility is dedicated to maintaining a supportive work environment that emphasizes continued growth, professional development, and operational efficiency.

The Clinical Manager position at USPI South Plains Endoscopy Center is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and enhancing the clinical departments within the ambulatory surgical center. This role demands a motivated and experienced healthcare professional capable of managing day-to-day operations, including staff hiring, evaluation, mentoring, scheduling, and supervision. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership skills blended with flexibility to accommodate the evolving demands of the outpatient surgical environment. The Clinical Manager is expected to demonstrate exceptional critical thinking and emotional intelligence, enabling effective problem-solving and positive interactions across all staff levels within the organization.

Key responsibilities include developing staff development programs, implementing quality assurance initiatives, and monitoring the budget for clinical service programs. The manager works closely with other members of the management team to ensure cohesive communication and coordinated efforts toward sustained business growth and operational sustainability. Furthermore, a strong understanding of revenue generation for clinical services, client billing processes, regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, CMS standards), fiscal budgeting, and performance improvement is essential for this role. Excellent communication skills and openness to flexible working hours — occasionally including early mornings and late evenings — are required to accommodate the surgical schedule and daily workflow.

The Clinical Manager must also possess strong organizational and program development skills and be proficient with standard office software such as the Microsoft Office suite. Attendance at all mandatory in-services, meetings, and annual safety and competency education sessions is a fundamental part of the position. This role plays a significant part in upholding the vision, mission, and business objectives of the Center, ensuring that quality care and regulatory standards are consistently met. Notably, this position is weekday-focused with no holiday, weekend, or on-call responsibilities, making it ideal for individuals seeking a balanced work schedule within a dynamic healthcare setting.
