Labcorp is currently seeking a Technologist to join its dedicated team in Dublin, Ohio. This full-time position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with rotating shifts every other weekend and on holidays. The role is vital to maintaining the high standards and quality of laboratory operations that Labcorp is known for.

As a Technologist, you will be responsible for performing both routine and complex technical procedures in alignment with the laboratory's Standard Operating Procedures. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of laboratory operations, including monitoring and troubleshooting instrumentation to ensure seamless functionality. You will make critical technical decisions around specimen acceptability and testing processes and play an integral part in preparing, testing, and evaluating new reagents or controls necessary for accurate diagnostics.

This role requires meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that test results are accurate and reported timely to support quality patient care. Additionally, you will be expected to conduct and document preventative maintenance, perform quality control procedures, replenish testing supplies, and assist in specimen processing when necessary. Maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment is an essential part of the job.

Candidates ideal for this role will have at least a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological sciences, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology, coupled with a minimum of one year of clinical laboratory testing experience, or hold an MLS degree. Preferred qualifications include certification through the ASCP or AMT and additional laboratory testing experience. Candidates should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and have proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems.
