Job Description

Memorial Healthcare System, located in Hollywood, Florida, is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to enhancing the health, well-being, and quality of life for the communities it serves. With a strong commitment to providing compassionate care and maintaining high standards, Memorial Healthcare System continuously strives to deliver the Memorial Experience — a remarkable patient-centered approach ensuring excellence in medical services and patient support. As a comprehensive healthcare provider, the system offers a range of services including specialty care, wellness programs, and community outreach, thereby addressing the diverse needs of its patients. The organization fosters a collaborative and respectful work environment where every staff member is valued and empowered to contribute towards its mission. Memorial Healthcare System embraces diversity, equal opportunity employment, and actively supports veterans, reservists, and military spouses through Veteran’s Preference programs. It also maintains a rigorous hiring process including post-offer pre-placement assessments to ensure that its workforce is highly competent and motivated. The Clinical Dietitian II position at Memorial Healthcare System is an advanced role that demands independence, critical thinking, and leadership in delivering nutritional care within a hospital or clinical setting. This position involves identifying patients at nutritional risk and designing customized medical nutrition therapy plans. The Clinical Dietitian II will be responsible for assessing nutritional diagnoses, developing and implementing evidence-based nutrition care plans, monitoring patients’ outcomes, and effectively communicating with a multidisciplinary care team. Serving as a resource to less experienced dietitians, this role also includes providing training, education, and support to fellow dietitians and food service staff. The individual in this role participates actively in quality improvement initiatives and performance measurements, demonstrating the ability to propose data-driven solutions for patient care and program enhancement. In addition, this role serves as a liaison with other clinical departments such as pharmacy, nursing, and physicians to optimize nutrition services and patient outcomes. The Clinical Dietitian II also partakes in preparing educational materials, delivering presentations and potentially supports academic dietetic internship programs as a preceptor or advisory board member. Working conditions require adaptability to physical demands such as bending, stooping, exposure to biological hazards, and extensive communication with patients and team members. This position operates primarily during daytime shifts and necessitates proficiency with electronic health records and documentation. Candidates must meet specific educational and licensure requirements including a Master’s degree in Nutrition or a related field, Florida Dietitian/Nutritionist license, and Registered Dietitian certification. One year of relevant experience is required, along with strong leadership skills and the ability to build positive professional relationships. Memorial Healthcare System offers a supportive and dynamic work environment focused on professional growth and excellence in healthcare services.
