The role under recruitment is for a Medical Nutrition Therapist/Dietitian position. This opportunity is designed for healthcare professionals who are passionate about providing specialized nutritional care and education to patients. Under direct supervision, the Medical Nutrition Therapist will identify patients at nutritional risk, develop tailored medical nutrition therapy plans, and implement these plans for assigned patient populations. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers, the professional will ensure comprehensive nutrition care that supports patients' health outcomes. The position involves assessing patient nutritional status, monitoring progress, educating patients and families, and maintaining detailed records in electronic health systems. It emphasizes leadership by involving training, consulting, and program development activities within the healthcare setting as well as community outreach. The role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work both independently and effectively within a team. While no prior experience is required, candidates must hold a master's degree in dietetics, nutrition, or a related field and be licensed by the State of Florida with appropriate certifications. This position is ideal for motivated, skilled dietitians who want to make a significant difference in patient health through expert nutrition therapy and education.
