The Clinical Concierge MA/LVN role at Texas Health Breeze Urgent Care is integral to delivering an exceptional patient experience. This full-time position requires working three 12-hour shifts per week, including rotating days, weekends, and holidays, primarily at the 5964 W. Parker Rd., Suite 100 location in Plano, Texas, with potential float across multiple sites. The Clinical Concierge acts as a vital liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff, guiding patients and their guests through every step of the urgent care visit.

The position encompasses a blend of clinical, administrative, and customer service responsibilities. Clinically, the Concierge supports providers in care and treatment, laboratory testing, and emergency response. Administrative duties include patient registration, payment collection, and managing patient flow to optimize throughput. This role demands excellent interpersonal skills to provide empathetic and professional care, build trust with patients, and enhance overall patient satisfaction.

Candidates will be working in a team-oriented environment under the supervision of a site manager alongside providers and other clinical staff. The position requires maintaining competency across all assigned roles with flexibility to rotate as needed. Due to the clinical nature of the work, the role necessitates discretion, sound judgment, diplomacy, and a strong customer service mindset.

Job Requirements

  • H.S. diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a medical assistant education program certified or registered medical assistant or vocational nurse program required
  • Six months of clinical healthcare experience as LVN, MA, CNA, or equivalent or completion of THR MA externship training required
  • Certified or registered medical assistant or Licensed Vocational Nurse in State of Texas upon hire required
  • BCLS certification maintained every 2 years required
  • THR Urine Drug Collector training required
  • Previous experience with electronic health records preferred

Job Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program certified or registered medical assistant or other successful completion of a Vocational Nurse program
  • 6 months of previous health care facility clinical experience as a LVN, MA, CNA, or other patient care experience or completion of an internal THR MA externship training program in lieu of experience
  • Previous experience with electronic health record preferred
  • Certified or registered medical assistant in lieu of the completion of a Medical Assistant education program Req or LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse State of Texas, if LVN upon hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of hire
  • THR Urine Drug Collector training within 30 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Collects identification and payor related documentation, conducts registration using EPIC workflow
  • Measures and documents vitals and communicates the resulting data to the consumer and provider, including temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and pain level
  • Documents chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications accurately in EPIC for review by provider
  • Performs and documents laboratory testing and collections per provider orders and/or standard operating procedures, to include venipuncture with prior venipuncture competency check-off
  • Administers and documents oral and intramuscular medication using the appropriate medication verification workflow
  • Assists provider with procedures to include, but not limited to maintaining sterile field, laceration repair, I&D, and application of ortho-goods and assists with ortho-glass application
  • Behave in a professional and empathetic manner to build trust, comfort, understanding, and relationships with consumers and secondary guest(s) and in-line with patient experience standards
