The Clinical Concierge Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) role at Texas Health Breeze Urgent Care in Dallas is a highly dynamic and critical position focused on enhancing consumer experiences through comprehensive clinical and administrative support. This full-time position involves working three 12-hour shifts per week, encompassing rotating days, weekends, and holidays between the hours of 7:45 AM and 8:15 PM. The Clinical Concierge operates across multiple urgent care locations within the Texas Health network, making adaptability and flexibility crucial for success.
In this pivotal role, the Clinical Concierge serves as the primary guide for patients and their accompanying guests throughout the entire urgent care visit. They streamline the visit process by managing patient registration, documentation, clinical support during provider care, laboratory testing, and facilitating smooth discharge procedures. Their responsibilities extend to measuring vital signs, documenting medical histories accurately, conducting laboratory tests including venipuncture, and assisting healthcare providers during procedures such as laceration repairs and orthopedic applications.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of Medical Assistant education program or Vocational Nurse program
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or Licensed Vocational Nurse State of Texas upon hire
- 6 months previous healthcare facility clinical experience as LVN, MA, CNA, or other patient care experience or completion of internal THR MA externship training program
- BCLS certification maintained every 2 years
- THR urine drug collector training maintained every 5 years
- Previous experience with electronic health record preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program or Vocational Nurse program
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or Licensed Vocational Nurse State of Texas upon hire
- Previous clinical experience in healthcare settings preferred
- Proficiency with electronic health records preferred
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification prior to independent patient care
- Completion of urine drug collector training within 30 days of hire
Job Duties
- Collects identification and payor related documentation, conducts registration using EPIC workflow
- Measures and documents vitals and communicates the resulting data to the consumer and provider, including temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and pain level
- Documents chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications accurately in EPIC for review by provider
- Performs and documents laboratory testing and collections per provider orders and/or standard operating procedures, including venipuncture with prior competency check-off
- Administers and documents oral and intramuscular medication using the appropriate medication verification workflow
- Assists provider with procedures including maintaining sterile field, laceration repair, I&D, and application of ortho-goods
- Behaves in a professional and empathetic manner to build trust, comfort, and relationships with consumers and guests in line with patient experience standards
