Job Description

Indigo Urgent Care, a part of MultiCare, stands as the premier urgent care provider in the Pacific Northwest, boasting over 400,000 5-star reviews and operating more than 40 clinics across Washington and Idaho, complemented by virtual care services. MultiCare is a not-for-profit healthcare organization with over 28,000 team members including employees, providers, and volunteers. It operates one of the largest community-based, locally governed health systems in Washington State, providing comprehensive healthcare services through numerous hospitals and specialty care facilities. The organization's core values—Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Excellence, Collaboration, Kindness, and Joy—guide all aspects of care and organizational conduct, emphasizing a commitment to workforce diversity and culturally competent care. MultiCare's extensive network includes renowned facilities such as Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, the only children’s hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center in Western Washington, and Tacoma General Hospital which houses the region’s only Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The Reception Concierge role at Indigo Urgent Care is a vital front-office position that supports the clinic’s mission to deliver timely, high-quality urgent medical care. Working in a highly collaborative and technology-enabled clinic environment, the Reception Concierge is responsible for coordinating patient and clinic activities in the lobby, ensuring a positive and seamless experience from arrival to departure. This position offers a 0.6 full-time equivalent (FTE) engagement, with day shift hours on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. The Reception Concierge acts as the initial point of contact for patients, greeting and registering them efficiently while providing excellent customer service both in-person and over the phone. They maintain the lobby's cleanliness and uphold the clinic's brand presentation, and execute opening and closing procedures associated with front office responsibilities. Furthermore, they are tasked with collecting patient payments, supporting optimal patient flow by maintaining clear communication with Clinical Concierge colleagues throughout the visit.

The clinic environment is dynamic, with a mix of walk-in and appointment-based care, resulting in variable patient volumes requiring discretion, good judgment, diplomacy, and decision-making skills. The Reception Concierge must be prepared for shifts ranging from 6 to 12 hours and may need to travel to other regional clinics as required. The role demands a team-based approach, reflecting MultiCare’s commitment to collaborative care models that benefit both patients and staff. Responsibilities extend beyond simple front desk tasks and encompass contributing to the smooth operation of the clinic by integrating technology, adhering to standards, and fostering a welcoming environment. This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in healthcare customer service who seek a supportive workplace that offers incentives, bonuses, tuition assistance, and other benefits. Eligible candidates should have an AA/AS degree or relevant on-the-job experience, at least two years of health-related customer service experience, a current BLS certification, and the ability to travel regionally. Overall, this role combines patient interaction, administrative duties, and teamwork, making it ideal for those passionate about contributing to urgent care services in a modern and patient-focused setting.
