The Clinical Concierge role at Texas Health Breeze is a vital and dynamic position designed to enhance the patient journey within urgent care settings. This full-time position is based out of Dallas, Texas, with the incumbent floating across multiple Texas Health Urgent Care locations. The work schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week, covering rotating days, weekends, and holidays, from 7:45 AM to 8:15 PM. The Clinical Concierge serves as the key point of contact for patients and their secondary guests, guiding them through the urgent care visit efficiently and with empathy to maximize throughput and deliver clinical excellence.

Responsibilities in this role encompass a variety of clinical and administrative functions. The Clinical Concierge assists providers with patient care and treatment procedures, performs laboratory testing and diagnostic x-rays following established protocols, manages patient registration and payment collection using EPIC workflow, and supports patient rooming and discharge processes. The role demands proficiency in vital signs measurement, documentation of patient complaints, allergies, health history, and medication use, as well as the administration of medications as applicable. The Clinical Concierge is also relied upon to help maintain a safe environment by adhering to sterile procedures during provider-assisted treatments and ensuring clinical supplies and medications are maintained at appropriate levels.

In addition to clinical duties, the role requires a professional and empathetic demeanor to build trust and comfort with patients, providing an excellent patient experience aligned with Texas Health’s high service standards. Training and competence are key, with the position involving ongoing learning opportunities, including the chance to earn over 20 contact hours for medical assistant certification renewal during orientation. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of approved NCT training program
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program or vocational nurse program
  • Six months previous healthcare facility clinical experience
  • Six months previous x-ray experience or completion of internal training
  • Registered NCT by Texas Medical Board upon hire
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse if LVN upon hire
  • Other certified or registered Medical Assistant in lieu of MA education program
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • THR Urine Drug Collector training
  • Ability to work full-time shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain discretion and good judgment
  • Must be able to perform patient care duties under supervision

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of approved NCT training program
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program or vocational nurse program
  • Six months previous healthcare facility clinical experience as LVN, MA, CNA, or other patient care roles
  • Six months previous x-ray experience or completion of internal THR NCT training program
  • Registered as NCT by the Texas Medical Board upon hire
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse in State of Texas if LVN upon hire or other certified/registered Medical Assistant in lieu of MA education program
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
  • THR Urine Drug Collector training within 30 days of hire
  • Previous experience with electronic health records, straight-arm x-ray, and orthopedic experience preferred
  • Previous experience as licensed NCT preferred

Job Duties

  • Collects identification and payor related documentation, conducts registration using EPIC workflow
  • Measures and documents vitals and communicates the resulting data to the consumer and provider
  • Documents chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications accurately in EPIC
  • Performs and documents laboratory testing and collections as per provider orders
  • Administers and documents oral and intramuscular medication using appropriate medication verification workflows
  • Assists provider with procedures including sterile field maintenance, laceration repair, I&D, and application of ortho-goods
  • Performs diagnostic x-rays following established protocols and documents completion
  • Behaves in a professional and empathetic manner to build trust and understanding with consumers
  • Welcomes consumers and secondary guests and inquires about the purpose of the visit
  • Recognizes and notifies provider immediately of emergent patients, performs BLS, provides oxygen administration
  • Schedules primary care referrals for consumers
  • Maintains office supplies, medical supplies, and medications at appropriate par levels
  • Performs quality checks throughout the facility as per policies
  • Other duties as assigned
