The Clinical Concierge Medical Assistant Senior (MA Sr) role at INTEGRIS Health AllSet Urgent Care in Oklahoma City Metro is a full-time, day shift position designed for experienced clinical professionals who thrive in dynamic ambulatory care settings. This position extends beyond direct patient care— the MA Sr acts as a mentor for new entry-level Medical Assistants, assisting with orientation and continuous staff development, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. In this pivotal role, the Clinical Concierge MA Sr performs a broad array of clinical duties ranging from obtaining vital signs and patient histories to performing venipuncture, administering lab tests, managing x-rays, and handling patient referrals and phone messages as directed by providers or clinical supervisors. Maintaining stringent adherence to National Patient Safety Goals and demonstrating age-related competencies are critical facets of this position. The MA Sr functions as a crucial liaison between providers and patients, ensuring clear communication and comprehensive care coordination. This position demands a high level of clinical knowledge, organizational skills, and patient-focused compassion, all while managing a high volume of patient interactions and contributing to seamless clinic operations. The MA Sr also participates in assessing and reassessing patient needs, spotting potential complications early by monitoring lab values and symptoms, and participating in developing and evaluating patient care plans, including medication administration (excluding narcotics). Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory clinic setting
  • Certification in Medical Assisting from recognized accrediting bodies such as AAH-RMA, AAMA-CMA, AAMP-RMA, ARMA-RMA, AMT-RMA, NCCT-NCMA, or NHA-CCMA
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to demonstrate core competencies within 90 days
  • Competency in medication administration
  • Valid Oklahoma State Driver's License and acceptable driving record if operating a vehicle for work
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle large call volumes with professionalism

Job Qualifications

  • Three years as a clinic Medical Assistant in an ambulatory setting
  • Three years direct customer service experience
  • Current certification from one of the following: AAH-RMA, AAMA-CMA, AAMP-RMA, ARMA-RMA, AMT-RMA, NCCT-NCMA, or NHA-CCMA
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Demonstrated core competencies within 90 days
  • Validation of competency in medication administration
  • Valid Oklahoma State Driver's License and compliant driving record if operating a vehicle for work

Job Duties

  • Mentor new entry-level Medical Assistants and assist with orientation and development of new staff
  • Provide direct patient care and serve as a liaison between provider and patient
  • Perform vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab, x-ray, referrals, and patient phone messages as directed
  • Instruct patients/caregivers on signs, symptoms, and home management related to disease processes
  • Document patient status accurately and timely using EMR
  • Review charts to ensure accuracy after each visit
  • Report suspected abuse and refer patients/families to appropriate health or social resources
  • Perform procedures such as Venipuncture, EKG, Waived Testing, Bone Density, X-Ray as assigned
  • Sterilize equipment after procedures
  • Manage large call volume while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette
  • Organize workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner
  • Gather and document information about patient conditions, including lab values and pain levels
  • Contribute to assessment/re-assessment of patients and monitor for abnormal findings
  • Participate in plan of care development, implementation, and evaluation including medication administration excluding narcotics
