The Clinical Concierge Licensed Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) role at Texas Health Breeze Urgent Care in McKinney is a vital clinical position that spans multiple urgent care locations across the Texas Health system. This full-time role involves working three 12-hour shifts weekly, including rotating days, weekends, and holidays, with working hours from 7:45 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. The Clinical Concierge LMRT is essential to enhancing the patient experience by providing professional, timely clinical services and supporting healthcare providers throughout the patient’s urgent care visit. As a licensed professional in radiologic technology, the Clinical Concierge LMRT will perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as x-rays of the chest, extremities, skull, and spine, following established protocols to guarantee quality and patient safety. Alongside radiologic tasks, responsibilities include providing direct patient care such as medication administration, clinical procedure assistance, and emergency response, including Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) when necessary. Job Requirements
- H.S. diploma or equivalent
- Completion of approved LMRT training with proficiency in chest, extremities, skull, and spine
- Six months previous x-ray experience or completion of internal THR LMRT training program
- Licensed LMRT issued by the Texas Medical Board with required specialties upon hire
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire
- THR Urine Drug Collector training required within 30 days of hire
- Ability to perform venipuncture and laboratory testing safely
- Strongly preferred previous health care clinical experience as LVN, MA, CNA, or similar patient care
- Experience with electronic health record systems and orthopedic procedures
- Medical Assistant certification preferred prior to administering injections
- Successful completion of CHCP externship at Breeze Urgent Care strongly preferred
Job Qualifications
- Completion of an approved LMRT training program with proficiency in chest, extremities, skull, and spine x-rays
- Licensed Medical Radiologic Technologist issued by the Texas Medical Board with required specialties upon hire
- Medical Assistant certification preferred prior to administering injections
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification maintained every 2 years and required within 30 days of hire
- THR Urine Drug Collector training required within 30 days of hire
- Successful completion of a CHCP externship at Breeze Urgent Care preferred
- Experience with electronic health records and proficiency in EPIC system
- Preferred previous healthcare clinical experience as LVN, MA, CNA, or similar patient care roles
- Ability to perform venipuncture competency check-off
- Strong communication, discretion, and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Collects identification and payor related documentation and registers patients using EPIC workflow
- Measures and documents vital signs and communicates data to patients and providers
- Documents chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications accurately in EPIC
- Performs and documents laboratory testing and venipuncture as ordered by providers
- Administers and documents oral and intramuscular medications following verification workflows
- Assists providers with clinical procedures including sterile field maintenance, laceration repair, I&D, and application of orthopedic goods
- Performs diagnostic x-rays within licensed scope and ensures proper image transmission and documentation
- Welcomes patients and guests, builds rapport and ensures a positive patient experience
- Recognizes and responds to emergent patient situations including performing BLS and assisting with emergency care
- Maintains office, medical supplies, and medications at appropriate levels and performs facility quality checks
- Schedules primary care referral appointments and handles patient discharge
- Performs additional duties as assigned
