As part of the MedStar Health network, the hospital benefits from a vast system of resources, innovation, and collaborative opportunities that support its mission to provide high-quality, compassionate care to diverse patient populations. The hospital is deeply committed to nurturing an environment where staff can thrive professionally while delivering patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and promotes holistic health outcomes.

The Clinical Administrator position is a critical leadership role within the Division of Nursing at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. This role is designed for an experienced and passionate nursing professional who is eager to shape nursing practice and patient care on a large scale. As a Clinical Administrator, you will lead and coordinate clinical activities and administrative resources to ensure that patient care is delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with evidence-based standards. This involves managing a dynamic team of nursing associates while fostering collaborative governance, professional development, and continuous learning in line with MedStar Health's mission and values.

The Clinical Administrator serves as a key member of the leadership team, entrusted with the responsibility of supervising multiple patient care units or departments during specified shifts. The role demands a combination of professional nursing expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills, as you will work closely with other nursing leaders and hospital administrators to maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. The position requires a proactive approach in promoting a care environment that supports cultural competence, ethical practices, and patient safety. You will act as a role model, setting the standard for clinical excellence and professional behavior within the nursing staff.

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital offers this position with a competitive annual salary range from $99,931 to $152,280, reflecting the importance and responsibilities of the role. Beyond compensation, the hospital boasts extensive nursing benefits, including nationally recognized nurse wellbeing resources, comprehensive health plans, generous paid time off, and support for professional growth such as tuition assistance and opportunities for certification. Employees also enjoy perks like free on-campus parking, access to a 5-time Magnet-recognized facility, and relocation assistance, illustrating the hospital's commitment to supporting its workforce.

This opportunity provides a platform to actively contribute to Magnet-driven practice excellence within a dynamic and academically rich environment. Collaboration across a nationally renowned academic medical center offers unique professional growth experiences, enabling you to influence nursing practice, elevate clinical standards, and mentor nursing professionals. The hospital’s culture, grounded in the principle of cura personalis—care of the whole person—ensures a holistic approach that integrates personal and professional development alongside patient care.
