Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- minimum of one year of healthcare experience or equivalent education in admitting, medical records, health information, or clerical support preferred
- strong communication skills
- proficiency in keyboarding and electronic systems navigation
- ability to prioritize, problem-solve independently and mentor others
- self-directed with initiative to support patients and colleagues
- passion for healthcare and patient-centered service
- BLS certification preferred
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- minimum of one year of healthcare experience or equivalent education preferred
- experience in admitting, medical records or health information, or applicable clerical support
- familiarity with medical terminology
- strong communication skills
- keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions
- BLS certification preferred
Job Duties
- Scheduling patient appointments with accuracy and care
- verifying insurance and handling patient registration
- managing co-pay collections and balancing daily and weekly deposits
- supporting front-office operations and serving as a resource for colleagues
- assisting with limited coding and charge entry as needed
- mentoring other staff and problem-solving independently
- interfacing with physicians and other clinic staff regularly
