Job Requirements
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- General mathematical and computational skills
- Computer proficiency
- One year of customer service experience
- Experience with data entry
- Familiarity with payment processing systems
- Keyboarding speed of at least 35 wpm
- Ability to operate electronic clinical and scheduling software
- Must be able to work assigned shifts including Saturdays
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree or technical certificate preferred
- Minimum of one year customer service experience
- Experience in a medical or dental office setting preferred
- Proficiency with electronic clinical systems including EMR
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Keyboarding speed of 35-40 wpm with data entry accuracy
- Demonstrated cultural competency and experience working with underserved populations is a plus
Job Duties
- Provide a welcoming and positive check-in experience to patients and visitors
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow
- Perform accurate data entry into electronic medical records and scheduling systems
- Handle patient payments and process insurance information
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of patient information
- Communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff
- Assist with general front desk administrative duties
