Job Description

Endeavors is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to empowering vulnerable populations, including military families, veterans, and individuals facing various life challenges. Founded with the mission to provide effective support services, Endeavors operates a range of programs designed to improve the well-being, resilience, and quality of life for those they serve. Among its many initiatives, Endeavors runs the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic, a specialized facility focused on addressing the mental health needs of military members, veterans, and their families. The Military Family Clinic offers a comprehensive approach to wellness that blends clinical care with community outreach, education, and peer support.

The Clinic Community Liaison role at Endeavors plays an essential part in connecting the Military Family Clinic’s mental health resources to the community. This position involves proactive recruitment of clients—specifically veterans, active-duty service members, and their families—through strategic partnerships with veteran-service organizations, the Veterans Administration, multi-service agencies, and other local community groups. The liaison is tasked with fostering collaborative relationships with external stakeholders at the federal, state, and local levels, ensuring alignment of services with community needs and enhancing the delivery of mental health programs.

In this dynamic role, the liaison is responsible for representing the Military Family Clinic at community events, workshops, presentations, and seminars that raise awareness of clinical services and life skills enrichment programs. They actively participate in peer-to-peer communication efforts and oversee the Life Skills Enrichment Program aimed at building healthier, more resilient families through targeted education and outreach. Managing volunteers and interns forms part of the job, ensuring strong support for outreach goals and community engagement activities.

The ideal candidate for this position brings a passion for community service, a background in life skills facilitation, and experience working with military or veteran populations. This role requires strong organizational skills, experience in event coordination, and the ability to deliver clear, informative presentations that effectively convey the benefits of the Military Family Clinic’s services. Additionally, successful liaisons are outgoing professionals with a pleasant demeanor and a commitment to exceptional customer service, focused on empowering clients and strengthening community ties.

Endeavors values inclusivity and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities or based on religious beliefs. Working as a Clinic Community Liaison offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of military families by bridging the gap between clinical services and the community, helping people build better lives for themselves and their families. This full-time position requires a flexible schedule, including availability for evening and weekend outreach events and the ability to travel frequently within the community to foster partnerships and engagements.
