Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum 6 months relevant experience without a degree
  • 1-2 years related experience preferred
  • experience working knowledge of computers with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred
  • good verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Answering telephone and routing calls to the appropriate person
  • professionally greet all patients and guests
  • maintain a professional environment at all times and monitor reception and waiting areas
  • distribute incoming mail
  • obtain necessary signatures for processing admissions data
  • ensure patient confidentiality at all times
  • maintain accurate records of hospitalization and patient travel
  • coordinate patient scheduling and ancillary testing
  • prepare and organize medical records for travel, transplant, or disability
  • coordinate paperwork for transient patients
  • confirm admissions paperwork completion and distribution
  • assist with medical appointment referrals and scheduling
  • assist with transportation coordination and referrals
  • complete data entry for Crown Web related to ESRD documentation
  • scan monthly insurance cards
  • set up and maintain filing systems and databases
  • complete forms and reports as required
  • prepare purchase orders
  • assist with accounts receivable and payable functions
  • maintain inventory of office supplies
  • audit medical records for compliance
  • assist with patient demographic and quality improvement data collection
  • assemble, file, and maintain patient medical records
  • print patient schedules and pull charts daily
  • arrange package pickup and delivery
  • assist with month-end reporting
  • participate in team huddles and staff meetings
  • attend education and training sessions and apply learnings
